2019 Savanna Rhea Grenache Rose
2019 delivered the second vintage in a row without heat spikes during harvest months which allowed me to go deeper in the back hills and source fruit from a high mountain vineyard I've been eyeing for a few years now.
The source is Santa Ynez Vineyard in the hills of Happy Canyon East of Santa Ynez proper in Santa Barbara County.
Void of typical heat spikes allowed for riper fruit with concentration (yes I said concentration) while maintaining minerality and mouth watering acidity.
Definitely in the top 3 for Breakfast Wines I've made!
At just under 60 cases this wine is sure to move fast.
Shipping available throughout the USA.
The 19 is very reminiscent of the Rosés of the Southern Rhone on the palate although the color maybe a bit darker and in the red to red orange range. While the aromatics lean more toward Orange peel and grapefruit blossoms.
